this is going to be somewhat of a wordy post so if you're not interested in reading, please skip ahead. hahaha
WEDNESDAY, JULY 3
on wednesday, july 3, b. berry got in a car accident. there was never a question as to whether or not God was present in all of this - HE was. I am so, so thankful for how everything came out.
in the surrounding area of the collision, there was a cal trans worker, who immediately closed off the area where the accident happened. across the street, paramedics were on a lunch break and they called in the accident - to which a police officer quickly appeared and settled the matter.
AAA (CHEAPEST AND BEST INSURANCE COMPANY) responded quickly and long story short, we were able to release our car from the shady repair shop and send it to a AA approved shop. (this was all WEDNESDAY). one of our gracious sisters, S, babysat the little berries on wednesday night so b.berry could be seen at urgent care. even during our urgent care visit, we ran into someone we knew - and got our diagnosis: scaphoid fracture. :(
THURSDAY, JULY 4
with the referrals in place - it was a waiting game due to the holiday. here are some pictures.

and that's how we celebrated our fourth - a little picnic bbq in the front yard. complete with water toys, bubbles and a birthday song for america. :)
FRIDAY, JULY 5

interesting fact - b.berry has NEVER previously broken/fractured anything until the accident.
MONDAY, JULY 8
after at least what felt like 100 emails, we settled on a car, a quote, and took the plunge. even in the purchase of the car and the money we received from the "total loss," God worked it all out. i have heard many stories like this from close friends - of God providing the EXACT amount, or JUST what they needed... but this is a first for me.
five days later, we purchased our VERY FIRST eco friendly car.
