summer fun with friends

one of my dearest friends, grace, recently started a blog (click here). i am so proud of her and in response, i thought i'd try to update my blog now that i have more time. (full story to come).

rather than... starting from where i left off, i thought i'd start with today's event:

The Aquarium of the Pacific

it's true that as a parent, you often end up doing things that you would typically prefer not to do so that your kid can have those experiences. it's not that i don't like fish, but in all honesty, when i'm there, i'm thinking.. wow, some of these on display would be miiighty tasty...

k.berry, l. berry, and friend N checking out the penguins swimming

first playdate - they were a bit cautious at first, but... by the end, they played really nicely with each other.

yes, behind them is a giant octopus

 loving the touch pools

Random Note: Turbo Turtles is the name of l.berry's class when they did a jog-a-thon a few months ago.

 two fingers please!

i think this is where l.berry decided to touch the hermit crab

Something I learned today: Did you know that hermit crabs steal their shells from snails?

 king spider crab

love this one of k.berry - thanks auntie H!

gotta work on timing the pictures

that's it for today. thanks for a super fun playdate.

Did you know that if you buy an annual pass at the Aquarium of the Pacific it's tax deductible? That's right, b/c the aquarium is a non-profit, the money is a write off! :) make sure you buy the parking passes or get validated.
