this post is a dedication to my oldest and currently, only. he is such a joy in my life. lately
words he is actively saying at 19 months:
mommy, daddy, hi, bye, grandma (korean), grandpa (korean), elmo, please, thank you, night night, food (korean), up, no, diaper, dirty (korean), banana, apple sauce, book, pumpkin, light, bubbles, nose, toes, tickle tickle, baby, milk, water, goldfish, honey, tree, tire, outside, shoes, again, more, all done, yay, go, sun and some more.
sounds: moo, wolf, quack, and bzzz.
comprehension: everything... so he is able to follow directions
discipline: what a challenge. when i was single, i read a lot of parenting/marriage books. now that i'm married and i'm a parent, i can honestly say that i have not been reading as much as i could/should be reading. i recently cracked open my "first edition" b/c i couldn't find the more recent copy, of shepherding a child's heart, by paul david tripp. a GREAT read b/c it's incredibly practical.
as we encounter the terrible twos, and whatever else comes, we realize how much of a deficit we are at and how much more we need the love and grace of our Lord. we are incredibly blessed with such a vibrant little guy. i leave you with his first school picture:
my little l.berry - 18 months of pure joy :)
