But now trouble comes to you, and you are discouraged; it strikes you, and you are dismayed. - Job 4:5
Story of my life summed up in one sentence this summer...
A good friend of mine recently provided some wise counsel. When I shared with her some of my struggles, here's what she said (verbatim - gotta love google talk)
"i think our natural reaction to anything hard or an obstacle is to think that we made the wrong choice but i think oftentimes the opposite can be true, that God actually did intend for it to happen and that through it we're going to see more of Him" - GPC
and how true this has proved to be! I just found out that I got an A in my summer school class! I was stressed all summer - telling myself that the grade I get in this class will determine my future in the program. How silly - and throughout the summer, I needed to remind myself of God - and that wasn't easy.
So - I'm pumped. My financial aid came today and so now I feel comfortable buying my books. Which I should since class starts next week.
More later :)
woo hoo!! i love it when God does what He says He will... our doubt seems so trivial when compared to His greatness! high five, God!
