origins

i should clarify something.

a close friend of mine, recently asked me why I refer to myself as strawberry or s. berry. i realized that there might be more than one person wondering that so i thought i'd dedicate a post just so you know a little more about me and where i got my name (funblonde). if you look carefully at the pictures, you will notice one obvious thing: i'm not blonde. (if you didn't notice that, well, i don't know what to tell you).

in college, a group of my girlfriends and i, came up with "nicknames" for the group of people we hung out with. (i will post a picture once i get one) Mine ended up with being funblonde - fun because i was the one that initiated all the get togethers and would distract my bio-major friends (all residents now at amazing hospitals) to play and not study. blonde because, well, we all have those moments... but apparently mine were more noticeable and frequent. :)

so the bigger question to ask is: what does funblonde have to do with strawberry, or s. berry? my husband, mr. berry, is primarily the reason why i have this nick name. he and i, along with two of those sister friends i was referring to, went to knotts and read about how the boysenberry came into existence.  he triumphantly declared that if he could name a berry it would be after himself: b. berry! (name replaced with an initial). thus came about l. berry (which is the name of an actual berry) and me: s. berry because i'm strawberry BLONDE. [my friend is incredibly creative]

and THAT my friends, is my long winded story... :)
