these are a few of my favorite things

if you haven't noticed, i've been quoting songs from movies/musicals/tv shows. what can i say, i am a lover of music! :)

BOOKS

i am happy to report that after at least a year of not reading a book outside of my pregnancy week by week, i finished the last 4 books out of the harry potter series in a week. i was able to watch the corresponding movies and now i am proud to admit that i love harry potter. i think rowling has an amazing mind and she's INCREDIBLY creative! never ceases to amaze me... anyway...



NOTE: before i continue, i would like to say that i hate being a "bandwagon" person. i think it speaks to my sense of pride, but nevertheless, i don't like being someone that does something because everyone does it.

i've been hearing this buzz about the hunger games. one of my good friends recently mentioned it - the same friend who lent me her harry potter books. so i looked it up at amazon and bn and it was less than $5 on my NOOK! so, i had to purchase it. i read the first 3 chapters last night and i was hooked.



NOTE 2: or, maybe i don't like being a part of the bandwagon b/c i have an obsessive personality... ;)

it reminds me, so far, of the Giver by Lois Lowry. (a great read for kids - very dark though). more thoughts to come... and my goal is to finish it before the end of the month... i hope to do so, but with school starting on the 29th who knows!

MUSIC

i re-charged my mp3 player. it belongs to apple, but i can't, for the life of me, remember what it's called and i just went on their site and couldn't find the one i have. needless to say, i found it and it has a lot of my old music... i was rocking out to old k-pop bands and some old school christian music. i loved it!

SCRAPBOOK

now that i know i'm having a baby girl, i have this killer desire to start scrapbooking again. you know, b/c my life couldn't be ANY busier. but those are my thoughts on that, and i haven't acted on them. i will let you know, faithful readers of mine... how that comes across.
