happy birthday, mom!

i just realize, that i tend not to blog a lot about the family i grew up with (my own parents and sister) but this time, i decided to.

we celebrated my mom's birthday (i'll withhold her age for her sake :)) at my house last week and then had a post birthday celebration today. i'll have to update this post sometime when i'm at her house and can take a picture. 

she is quite an amazing woman. she immigrated here with my dad after being in the top of her class from elementary - middle - high - college - post college. (that's quite a big deal in korea b/c you get full rides to each grade level after - in other words, she never paid for school). she went to nursing school and then started working for st. jude. continued working for st. jude up until this past december 2012. she's retired and enjoys her time being retired, i think. :)

could NOT find a good picture, but that's no reason not to post, right? my mom is wearing the glasses & my sister is the one i'm standing next to.

l. berry so happy to blow out candles w/ grandma. my nephew, J1 w/ behind the berries.. he's 10 going on 16 and the baby nephew, J2, is in the red shirt. 

happy birthday mom. i love you. i love the woman that you are and the woman you show me i can be. thanks for always praying for me and my family. you are amazing!
