the giving project - day 7 + l.berry love

okay, so i'm not gonna lie. i was REALLY close to not completing this challenge. i've had an INCREDIBLY challenging two weeks... and by no means is that an excuse NOT to give, but really something i'm stretching to do the right way.

this card is for a co-worker friend of mine who is having a baby! she is on her 3rd girl! her oldest is very precocious and the soon to be middle child is one of the BEST eaters i know. (that HAS to be a 2nd child thing, b/c k.berry is a great eater too). this friend of mine, E, is a good listener and a good friend. i'm blessed to know her and hopefully she'll be blessed by this card! made today, but will be delivered on thursday. :)

paper - the envelope packs from Michaels + recollections paper
dies - TSoL onesie
stamps - TSoL onesie4you, miniabc2stamp
ink pads - TSoL artichoke, bubblegum, guava

the person receiving this card actually really loves my son, l.berry. i love that she loves him so much b/c... i have the hardest time with my first born, but especially lately and only recently realized that i need to spend time enjoying him more than fixing/correcting him. so here are three endearing stories that i wanted to share:

1. he was eating fruit snacks in the car on the way home. i asked him if i could have one.
L: mommy, if you can name the color of the week, you can have a fruit snack.
S: okay
L: mommy, what's the color of the week?
S: blue?
L: red. here's your snack, mommy!

2. L. Berry was putting his finger under his nose to demonstrate a "moustache" (it's an inside thing we do while we read the veggie tales books". he would put his finger under his nose (not IN his nose) and say "it smells like fruit! hahahahah" :)

3. i was tucking him into bed today and he had JUST turned off the light. i was singing a song as part of his nightly routine. we had just finished all the components.
L: mommy, where's bob? [the tomato - a stuffed animal he has]
S: i don't know buddy, he should be in his spot.
L: can you turn the light on?
S: [turns the light on & notices that Bob is, indeed, not in his spot] where'd he go, buddy? i'm checking under the bed and the area around
L: where is he mommy? where'd he go?
S: i don't know buddy, did you leave him downstairs?
L: [huge smile on his face] HERE HE IS! (had the stupid tomato w/ him under the covers the whole time]

yes, he's very cute these days... love my little guy
